Wave Money သည် Telenor Group၊ Yoma Group (Yoma Strategic Holdings – “Yoma Strategic” နှင့် ရိုးမဘဏ်တို့ကို ပူးပေါင်းခေါ်ဆိုခြင်း) တို့အကြား အကျိုးတူ ပူးပေါင်းလုပ်ဆောင်လျက်ရှိသည့် ဖက်စပ်ကုမ္ပဏီဖြစ်သည်။ အဆိုပါ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုနှင့်အတူ Ant Group မှ Wave Money ကုမ္ပဏီတွင် အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ ၇၃.၅ သန်း ရင်းနှီးမြှုပ်နှံပြီး Yoma Group ၊ Telenor တို့နှင့်အတူ Wave Money ၏ အရာရောက်သည့် အနည်းစုပိုင်ရှယ်ယာရှင် ဖြစ်လာမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ Ant Group ၏ Wave Money တွင် ရင်းနှီးမြှုပ်နှံမှုအတွက် သက်ဆိုင်ရာအာဏာပိုင်များ၏ ခွင့်ပြုချက်ရရှိမှုနှင့် စာချုပ်ပါအချက်များပြည့်မှီမှုအပေါ် မူတည်၍ ရှယ်ယာအသစ်များ ထည့်ဝင်သွားမည်ဖြစ်သည်။
မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ မိုဘိုင်းဘဏ္ဍာရေးဝန်ဆောင်မှုကဏ္ဍတွင် ရှေ့တန်းမှဦးဆောင်လျက်ရှိသော Wave Money သည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ မြို့နယ်ပေါင်း ၃၃၀ အနက် ၂၉၅ မြို့နယ်အတွင်း ကိုယ်စားလှယ်ပေါင်း ၅၇,၀၀၀ ကျော်ဖြင့် တစ်နိုင်ငံလုံး၏ ၈၉% အား မိုဘိုင်းဘဏ္ဍာရေး ဝန်ဆောင်မှုများပေးအပ်လျက်ရှိသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ သုံးစွဲသူပေါင်း ၂၁ သန်းကျော်မှ Wave Money ဝန်ဆောင်မှုအား အသုံးပြုပြီး ငွေလွှဲ ငွေထုတ်ခြင်း၊ ဘေလ်များပေးဆောင်ခြင်း၊ ဝန်ဆောင်ခပေးချေခြင်း၊ ဖုန်းငွေဖြည့်ခြင်းနှင့် ဒီဂျစ်တယ်ငွေပေးချေမှုများကို ပြုလုပ်လျက်ရှိသည်။ WavePay အက်ပလီကေးရှင်းအား စတင်မိတ်ဆက်ခဲ့ချိန် ၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်၊ အောက်တိုဘာလ မှစ၍ WavePay အား ပုံမှန်သုံးစွဲသူအရေအတွက်မှာ လစဉ် ၁၄% ဖြင့် တိုးပွားလျက်ရှိသည်။ ၂၀၁၉ ခုနှစ်တွင် Wave Money မှ ငွေလွှဲပြောင်းသည့် ပမာဏသည် ၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်ထက် ၃ဆကျော် တိုးတက်လာရာ မြန်မာကျပ်ငွေ ၆.၄ ထရီလီယံ (အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ ၄.၃ ဘီလီယံ) အထိရှိခဲ့ပါသည်။ တစ်ချိန်တည်းမှာပင် လုပ်ငန်းဝင်ငွေနှင့် ငွေလွှဲပြောင်းပေးပို့သည့် အကြိမ်အရေအတွက်တို့သည်လည်း ၃ ဆအထိ တိုးတက်ခဲ့သည်။ Wave Money သည် လုပ်ငန်းစတင်ပြီး နှစ်နှစ်အကြာ ၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်၊ စက်တင်ဘာလကတည်းက EBITDA ဝင်ငွေ စတင်ရရှိခဲ့ပြီး ယခုအချိန်အထိ ဝင်ငွေရရှိမှုကို ဆက်လက်ထိန်းထားလျက်ရှိပါသည်။

Yangon, Hangzhou, 18 May, 2020 – Digital Money Myanmar Limited (“Wave Money”) and Ant Financial Services Group (“Ant Group”), operator of Alipay, today announced a strategic partnership to promote financial inclusion for the unbanked and underbanked communities in Myanmar. Ant Group’s expertise in mobile payment and digital financial services will help boost Wave Money’s technological capabilities to provide greater convenience and security in mobile financial services across Myanmar.
Wave Money is a joint venture between Telenor Group and the Yoma Group (for this purpose to comprise Yoma Strategic Holdings (“Yoma Strategic”) and Yoma Bank). As part of this partnership, Ant Group plans to invest US$73.5 million in Wave Money to become a substantial minority stakeholder, alongside existing shareholders Yoma Groupand Telenor. Ant Group stake in Wave Money will come by way of a new share issuance which is subject to certain conditions, including regulatory approval.
Wave Money, a leading mobile financial services provider in Myanmar, runs a network of more than 57,000 agents or “Wave Shops” in urban and rural areas across 295 out of 330 townships nationwide, covering approximately 89% of the country. In 2019, Wave Money’s transfer volume more than tripled year-on-year reaching MMK6.4 trillion (US$4.3 billion). During the same period, revenue and transaction numbers also tripled. Wave Money became EBITDA positive in September 2018, just two years after its launch and continued to maintain its profitability.
More than 21 million people have used Wave Money’s platform including Wave Pay for remittances, utility payments, airtime top-ups and digital payments. Since its launch in October 2018, Wave Pay’s monthly active user base has been increasing steadily at 14% per month-on-month.

The Myanmar Government plans to increase financial inclusion in the country from its current 48% to 60% by 2022. If you are returning to the Campus next week, there are two travel options set up to ensure your health and safety:
Option 1- Campus Ferry:
Remember to sanitise your hands before boarding, and to wear a mask at all times. Only one person per row is allowed. Rest assured there is plenty of room for social distancing as all ferries are operating at less than half capacity. Each ferry is also properly sanitised before and after each ride.
Option 2 – Rent a Car from Yoma Car Share:

The following social distancing and health measure will apply to all Yoma Offices:
– Temperature screening on entry to the office
– Hand sanitizer available in all meeting rooms and reception desks
– Observe 6 feet distance with work colleagues at all times
– Desks to be marked with an X to ensure appropriate social distancing
– Staff to wear masks in the office when social distancing cannot be maintained
– Staff to wear a mask if in a meeting room with other colleagues
