Esports Takes Center Stage at Yoma Family Day

Dear Yoma Family,  
In recent years, competitive gaming, or esports, has evolved into a global phenomenon. Among its most celebrated games is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, a title that has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. At Yoma Family, we’re proud to bring this excitement to our community events.  

How It Began:  
Mobile Legends, launched in 2016, became an instant favorite thanks to its thrilling 5v5 team battles and accessibility. Today, it boasts over 1 billion downloads globally and attracts players of all ages and skill levels, from teenagers mastering the game to seasoned players demonstrating leadership and strategy.  

Esports at Yoma Family Day 2024:  
Last year marked a milestone for Yoma as we introduced esports to the Yoma Family Day, hosted by The Wave Money. This inaugural event was met with incredible enthusiasm from our employees and their families, with 64 teams and over 300 players competing for glory.  

The grand finale, held at the Yoma Sports Arena, was a resounding success, drawing large crowds of supporters cheering passionately for their favorite teams. The PHH Team emerged as the champions of this electrifying event, creating memories we’ll cherish for years. 

Looking Ahead: Yoma Family Day 2025  
Building on last year’s success, we’re excited to announce the return of the Mobile Legends tournament at Yoma Family Day 2025. This year, the event is organized by the Group Technology Department in collaboration with the YFD ESport Committee. 

Here’s what to expect:  

  • Participants: A record-breaking 64 teams and 448 players have registered.  
  • Event Schedule
  • Semi-finals: Hosted at the Campus Lounge in January 2025.  
  • Grand Finals: Taking place during Yoma Family Day 2025.  

The passion and preparation shown by this year’s participants are unparalleled. Many teams have been training since the conclusion of last year’s tournament, promising an even more competitive and thrilling event.
